NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The Brooklyn District Attorney has charged a man in a 52-count indictment in seven attacks targeting women in Brooklyn.
Khari Covington was arrested on Jan. 5, one day after allegedly attacking a woman inside a smoke shop in East Williamsburg.
Prosecutors say the 29-year-old attacked five other women at the Morgan Avenue subway station and another woman inside a building.
Investigators say Covington chose his victims because they were women and light-skinned.
