Ebola Outbreak In Parts Of Africa Prompts New Requirements For Travelers Arriving In U.S.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — An Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa will now affect travelers coming into the United States.

Starting Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will require airlines to collect contact information of passengers coming from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Guinea 21 days before they enter the U.S.

Flights coming from those countries will also be re-directed to six U.S. airports, including JFK and Newark.
