NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Subway service came to a brief halt at a station in Manhattan this week to accommodate a cat rescue.
It happened Thursday night at the Columbus Circle station.
An MTA worker saved the black cat on the tracks and placed the animal on the platform.
Staff at the station spotted the cat and managed to stop an incoming train so they could rescue it.
