On April 17, a photograph of Cyrus with waist-length brown hair worn underneath a baseball cap was printed on the X account PopCrave. The picture was a hanging callback to her little one star days when she performed Miley Stewart, a standard tween lady who moonlighted as her pop star alter ego Hannah Montana.
As she transitioned from child's TV to MTV, Cyrus underwent a significant aesthetic transformation which started with a drastic chop. In her reintroduction to the world, Cyrus debuted a bleached pixie minimize. Although she's worn her hair at various lengths within the intervening years, she's roughly remained a blonde. Which is exactly why her cocoa-colored hair comes as such a shock.
