Once I started my profession in marketing, a mentor advised me this: Resilience is vital. I nodded on the time, pondering I understood what he meant — that nothing is straightforward, that the strong-willed survive, and so forth. I struggled with confidence throughout my early profession, however over time I grew bolder, well-respected, and completed. Wasn't this resiliency? I believed I might realized my mentor's lesson.
However I didn't perceive resilience in any respect. That grew to become clear in 2017, when my father unexpectedly died. He was a secure, inspiring pressure in my life — and with him gone, I felt in free fall. I began isolating myself. I misplaced focus at work. My many years of expertise and confidence slipped away.
