Taylor Swift is back in London—and possibly a brunette now.
The singer-songwriter was spotted celebrating in the British capitol on August 13, sporting noticeably darker hair than her trademark creamy blonde.
While it’s tough to tell if it’s the lighting or an actual brown dye job, Swift’s plaid two-piece skirt suit was certainly paying homage to another beloved blonde: Cher Horowitz. The ’90s-inspired ensemble, which is from Vivienne Westwood’s fall/winter 2024 collection, looks so much like something Cher would have worn in Clueless. If Swift did indeed change up her hair, she’d be right on trend. According to Jennifer Korab, celebrity hairstylist and colorist and founder of Renaissance Salon & Spa, muted takes on blonde are trending for fall. These shades can look brown in certain lighting, and just might be the case for Swift.

Upon further investigation, it’s possible Taylor Swift has gone without highlights while on tour this summer. On June 11, 2024, she was seen in London with hair that looked darker than usual, too. Is it just something about London? Only time will tell….
While Swift wasn’t en route to a costume party, she was going to a party of sorts, according to celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi. Per Deuxmoi, Swift had planned her Eras Tour staff a celebration ahead of her upcoming shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, which is where she was spotted with maybe-brown hair.
