We’ve all been there, girl. And by “girl” I mean Ben Affleck, whose new haircut amid his rumored divorce from Jennifer Lopez is giving textbook Breakup Bangs.
In the photos (which you can peep on Page Six), Affleck appears to be rocking a new faux-hawk, which is buzzed on the sides of his head and left longer in the middle, creating the faux mohawk. Along with the hair, Affleck’s new look also included a black leather bomber jacket and a Red Hot Chili Peppers T-shirt, along with skinny jeans and work boots. Before you ask, he was not wearing his wedding ring.
For what it’s worth, a haircut is a less drastic change than, say, a full back tattoo of a phoenix, which is what Affleck got after his divorce from Jennifer Garner. The phoenix tattoo got a lot of (mostly negative) attention, leading Affleck to finally address the ink in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. “It’s meaningful to me. I like it. It’s not something I sort of kept private. The sentiment ran against…but I love my tattoo, I’m happy with it,” he said in 2019.
Right now, only Ben Affleck can answer if his haircut is a cry for help or simply an experiment.
