You’re never too old to wear a bikini. In fact, the more you age, the better they look. At least, according to Salma Hayek, who would know. The movie star and two-piece enthusiast boldly declared white hair and swimwear the combo of the moment, and who are we to disagree?
“Yellow bikini + White hair = perfect combination #ibiza,” Hayek wrote on Instagram, repeating her sentiment in Spanish: “Bikini amarillo + Cabello blanco = combinación perfecta.” ¡Sí! As Nora Ephron once wrote, “Oh, how I regret not having worn a bikini for the entire year I was twenty-six. If anyone young is reading this, go, right this minute, put on a bikini, and don’t take it off until you’re thirty-four.” Except, don’t take it off.
In the pictures, the star hangs out on a boat off the coast of Ibiza, posing in a bright yellow bikini that perfectly matches the flag behind her (it’s the Spanish flag with the “yacht ensign” crown…). In fact, with her toenails painted cherry red, she basically is the flag.

Accessorizing with sunglasses, a beaded necklace, and her massive diamond ring, Hayek wore her hair in two braids, letting the white strands around her temples fly free. In the second pic, she even pushes back her hair to show off the white, which is so cool, though not cool enough to distract me from the random man hanging off a boogie board behind her. Who are you, random man?
It’s so refreshing to see Salma Hayek embrace her tasteful white streaks. Not to be all “The Man” by Taylor Swift, but boys have been doing the salt-and-pepper thing forever, it’s high time ladies were allowed to look “wise” as well. And if anyone gives you shit about it, well, remember, Salma Hayek said it was okay, so it’s okay!
