The MTV VMAs 2024 red carpet was sure to give us an iconic red carpet moment or two or several. Just look at how many we've gotten in the past. In 2023, the biggest VMAs outfits included Taylor Swift wearing black Versace and Olivia Rodrigo sparkling in Ludovic de Saint Sernin. In fact almost every pop girlie chose some version of “gown,” though Bebe Rexha did mix it up with a pony tail protruding from her coccyx. Here's what everyone wore.
This year, we were most excited for Chappell Roan. She's already worn majorly over-the-top styles during her various festival performances (Statue of Liberty drag? Amazing), but has yet to define her red carpet style. She didn't get an invite to last year's Grammys, but showed up to an after-party in the pig-nose look that became the cover art for her hit single “Good Luck, Babe!” so tonight could mark a major turning point in her fashion story. Hopefully we'll be saying “good look, babe!” by the end of the night.
