Happy holidays, indeed! Netflix has announced that Virgin River will premiere season six this December with all 10 episodes dropping at once. (Last year, there were 10 episodes in season five, plus two bonus holiday episodes, which aired following the Thanksgiving holiday.)
For a while, it looked like the new season of Virgin River wouldn’t premiere until early 2025, given that the writers’ and actors’ strikes of 2023 pushed production back by months. Filming for season six wrapped in late spring 2024.
With the news of Virgin River’s upcoming premiere date (Thursday, December 19, to be exact), Netflix released new photos of the season, which show a very pregnant Lizzie, a solemn-looking Muriel (with Cameron!), and, of course, our central couple, Mel and Jack.
And now, with less than a month until the premiere, we have brand new photos, the key art, and most importantly, the official trailer. Take a look!
Virgin River has always given us a healthy dose of romance, but season 6 is clearly the sexiest one yet, as Mel and Jack get ready to say yes to forever, Kaia and Preacher heat things up, and Brie and Mike get more serious (although it's rather obvious Brady is definitely not out of the picture). Of course, the new season is not without its fair share of drama, as someone is airlifted in a helicopter, Denny and Lizzie face the reality of welcoming a baby while he manages his Huntington's diagnosis, and Jack looks a little concerned in the moments before he walks down the aisle (let's hope that's just some Bachelor-style sneaky editing there).
