Pamela Anderson is switching up her look without abandoning her makeup-free era.
On December 8, the 57-year-old actor debuted a new haircut featuring lightly tousled bangs cut straight across her brow—a bold departure from the curtain bangs that have largely defined her signature ’90s bombshell blowout since her Baywatch days. Of course, this is not the first time Anderson has dramatically shifted her look, having taken a makeup-free approach to glam in recent years—a choice she made to honor her longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who died of cancer in 2019.
“She was the best,” Anderson said of Vogel in an interview with Elle magazine in August 2023. “And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.” Over a year later, Anderson has maintained her commitment to her no-makeup look as she promotes The Last Showgirl at various red-carpet events and awards shows.
Anderson, who stars in the Gia Coppola film, just received her first Golden Globe nomination for her role as a Las Vegas dancer reckoning with the abrupt end of her show’s 30-year run. In a new statement shared with People, Anderson says she’s “grateful, overwhelmed… and blessed” to be nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture–drama.
“I share this beautiful nomination with The Last Showgirl family, my family, and my hard-working companions on this interesting journey,” Anderson continued. “It is never too late to dream, to start again, to stay open to possibilities—we are not all so lucky.”
