UCLA reportedly fires offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy – Daily News

UCLA football is reportedly parting ways with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy after one season.

The news was first posted to social media by Yahoo Sports reporter Ross Dellenger.

The Bruins finished 5-7 overall and struggled offensively all season, particularly in the run game. UCLA averaged just 86.6 rushing yards per game, which ranked last in the Big Ten Conference, and produced only four rushing touchdowns.

The Bruins ended the season Saturday ranked 117th in total offense.

Bieniemy was one of multiple assistant coaches brought in by head coach DeShaun Foster in his first season as head coach. Prior to coaching UCLA’s offense, he coached in the NFL for 16 of the past 18 seasons and helped guide the Kansas City Chiefs to two Super Bowl wins.

More to come on this story.
