UCLA receiver Logan Loya intends to enter the transfer portal, according to social media posts made by the St. John Bosco product Wednesday morning.
“After five amazing seasons, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal for my final season of eligibility,” Loya wrote. “I am excited for this next chapter of my journey, and I am proud to leave here as a Bruin for life, walking away with two degrees, countless memories and relationships I’ll cherish forever.”
Loya was one of UCLA’s most reliable receivers in the 2023 and 2024 seasons and played a valuable role on special teams as a kick returner and punt returner.
The redshirt senior led the Bruins with four touchdown receptions last season and ranked third on the team with 348 receiving yards, behind tight end Moliki Matavao (506 yards) and running back T.J. Harden (368 yards), on 29 catches.
UCLA has seen an exodus of critical offensive players since the season-ending win over Fresno State on Nov. 30. Quarterback Justyn Martin and Harden, who were poised to be contributors next season, have both announced decisions to enter the transfer portal.
The transfer portal opens Monday and the signing period for incoming recruits began Wednesday morning.
